The Voice is currently in the midst of season 22 with John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello and Blake Shelton as coaches. The Voice season 23 has already filmed their Blind Auditions round for season 23, set to start Winter 2023. Chance the Rapper, Niall Horan, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton will serve as coaches. It will be Blake’s last season as coach, after being the only coach to participate in every season so far.

The Voice typically holds open call auditions in the winter and the summer, when it airs two cycles a year. Last year’s summer session was one tip off that The Voice would return this spring, after taking spring 2022 off to make way for American Song Contest, which did not garner high enough ratings to stick around.

Unlike American Idol, The Voice has no upper age limit. A 57 year old singer, Wendy Moten, finished season 21 last fall as runner-up. The Voice gives singers of all ages (over 13) and musical styles the chance to vie for an opportunity to perform on television and maybe kick start or further a career in the music business.
