Tonight’s The Voice 9 Knockouts were short and sweet. Blake repeated a move from a few seasons ago, when eventual winner, Craig Wayne Boyd, returned to him from Team Gwen. He stole back country singer Morgan Frazier from Pharrell Williams after letting her go in the Battle Rounds. Pharrell decided to stick with Darius Scott, which makes all the sense in the world. I have to wonder if these aren’t deals made ahead of time, with a nudge from the producers. It all makes for good TV. Or, at least it did the first time it happened.
While I was satisfied with how the matchups shook out in last night’s show, I have a bone to pick with Adam Levine. After he stole soulful country rocker, Dustin Christensen, from Blake, he promptly let him go to hold on to cheesy classic rocker, Keith Semple. Why bother to steal a contestant, only to use them as fodder later? Dustin sure didn’t deserve the way the coaches tossed him around the competition.
