Last night’s surprise The Voice results had fan favorite, Christina Grimmie come in 3rd. Most of us expected her to win. It just goes to prove that Youtube fame isn’t necessarily all that.
All is not lost for the young singer. Her coach, Adam Levine, announced on the show last night that he will sign her to his record label, 222 Records. Currently, The Voice alum, Tony Lucca, Glee star, Matthew Morrison and Rozzi Crane are listed on the roster.
Christina thanked Adam on Facebook last night:
THANK YOU ADAM LEVIINNNEEE!!!!! For wanting to sign me to yur label….bc after 5 years on YouTube, not a single label out there would sign me. And he has known me for only a couple months n wud you look at that. Adam BELIEVES in me, as did my Team Grimmie all these years. Also UHMM thank yu to my managers BRIAN AND MANDYYY who believed in me for 4 years now, SERIOUSLY GUYS WE HAVE ARRIVED!!! It’s music makin time!!!!! This moment. OK. I’m going to assume she used her cellphone to pen the message. In any case, Christina is pretty excited!
