YIKES. A freaking The Voice CLIP SHOW beat the American Idol final in the ratings. OUCH. ETA: American Idol 12 final ratings: 2.9 in the demo and 11.57 viewers. A HUGE tumble.
The Voice was down quite a bit from last year’s Spring finale (which actually occurred in June against little competition. The December finale earned a 4.0 rating).

On NBC, The Voice finale earned a 3.3, up sharply from last week’s series low 2.6 adults 18-49 rating, but way down from last spring’s 4.4 adults 18-49 finale rating. On ABC, the season finale of Dancing with the Stars earned a 2.4. down three tenths from the 2.7 adults 18-49 rating that last spring’s finale earned. On FOX, American Idol earned a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating.
