Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, John Legend, Camila Cabello - The Voice Season 22

On Wednesday (June 29) NBC announced that The Voice 22 will premiere on the network Monday September 19 and Tuesday September 20. Earlier this month, the coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, John Legend and newbie Camila Cabello taped the Blind Auditions.

Now, the group, including host Carson Daly are gearing up for the Battle Round. The episodes will be filmed at Universal Studios in Los Angeles on Wednesday July 27, Thursday 28 and Tuesday August 9. Two sessions will be filmed on each dat at 9:30 am and 2:30 pm.

UPDATE: The Battle Round schedule has been revised. The rounds will tape on Thursday July 28 and Friday July 29. Probably because Camila caught COVID last and needed more time to recover. The Knockout Round will tape on August 9.

COVID-19 Event Policies are still in place!

  • Have a negative COVID test result no more than 2 days prior to the event. (Information about how to get a free COVID test prior to taping will be provided upon registration.)
  • Be fully vaccinated (i.e. taken your last shot of your vaccine by June 6, 2021. According to the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 2 weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose vaccine series or 2 weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine.)
  • Wear appropriate face coverings (silk mask, knit masks, and gaiter-style masks are not permitted) at all times unless otherwise instructed by a crew member.
  • Be seated and be restricted to dedicated audience member areas. Not be within six feet of cast or crew members.

Shortly before July 27th, keep an eye out for an announcement raveling the Blind Audition celebrity advisors. Last fall, Camila Cabello served s an advisor to Team John Legend.

The Voice has been off the air since last Spring, when America’s Song Contest, a new competition reality series based on European Song Contest, took its place. The eight week series produced mediocre ratings for the time slot (averaged around 0.5 in the key 18-49 demo). Based off of The Voice open calls schedule, and language in the call sheet, we speculate that The Voice will return to it’s Spring cycle.
