As promised, NBC posted the full The Voice season 21 promo today (July 27) featuring new coach Ariana Grande.
The 75 minute clip has the veteran coaches–Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend–sitting around a campfire. Blake points to the sky and exclaims, “Look at that amazing star over there!” John responds, “You mean alpha centauri?” Blake says, “No! I mean Ariana Grande!” Cut to Ariana sitting on a crescent moon to a backdrop of one of her signature whistle notes.

Once the singer joins the party, Kelly informs her that “we kind of have a tradition.” The new coach has to sing a song around the campfire. After declaring the tradition “so awkward” the spotlight switches on and Ariana launches into a rendition of “Hopelessly Devoted” from the musical Grease. The coaches sing backups. Blake strums a guitar.
Oh and look! There is host Carson Daly in the back playing the part of the friendly forest ranger. “This is going to be an amazing season!” Blake declares. The segment ends with what else? A singing bear.
“The stars are out,” is the new The Voice season 21 tagline.
Ariana posted the clip on her Instagram, writing: “honored and beyond thrilled to be joining the incredible @kellyclarkson @johnlegend and @blakeshelton for season 21 of @nbcthevoice coming september 20th.”

The Voice announced good and bad news at the end of last season.
While the show added Ariana, the series biggest star yet, to its coaches panel as Nick Jonas departs (at least for now), NBC also announced that The Voice is cutting back to one cycle a season. Instead, the American Song Contest will premiere spring 2022, which is based on the famed and long-running European Song Contest, which airs across the pond.

The Voice Blind Auditions were filmed in June in front of a live studio audience and reports from the set say Ariana fit right in.
“Ariana was so fun and sweet,” one eyewitness shared with E News. “She was interacting with the fans so much and was having the cutest moments on and off camera with the coaches. She was so sweet to anyone who came up to her from the production team, as well. Ariana and Kelly Clarkson were talking selfies. It was so cute.”
And of course, since gifts for new team members have become a thing, “Ariana also had a cute little lunchbox filled with goodies for whoever chose to be on her team,” the eyewitness said. “She was so excited to hand them out.”
