The Voice 21 Live Playoffs, which aired earlier this week (Nov 8 & 9) revealed the Top 13 artists, after 20 performances and a wildcard round.

Now that the Top 13 is in place, it’s time to begin the finals. And good news. There are five more weeks of The Voice season 21 to go! In the past few cycles, Live Shows have only lasted three weeks–a playoff, semifinal and final round. But with COVID protocols firmly in place, The Voice producers are going old school with an expanded final round. Also, that NBC cut back The Voice to one cycle in the fall per year, likely influenced a return to supersized seasons.

The Voice eliminations won’t be dictated by teams

Two singers will be voted off next week (Nov. 15 & 16), According to the results show press release:

The Top 10 highest artists are revealed as safe by America’s votes while the bottom three compete in the Instant Save. For the first time, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend perform with their individual teams. The Top 10 highest artists are revealed as safe by America’s votes while the bottom three compete in the Instant Save.

The following week (Nov 22 & 23) only one artist is eliminated:

The Top 9 highest artists are revealed as safe by America’s votes while the bottom two compete in the Instant Save. Ariana Grande and Blake Shelton perform with their individual teams.

The following week (Nov 29 & 30) TWO artists are eliminated:

The Voice 21 performance episodes will feature themes

The performance shows will also feature themes. On Mon. Nov 15, the Top 13 will perform songs that include special dedications. On Mon. Nov 22, The Top 11 will perform songs selected by the fans. And on Mon. Nov. 29, the Top 10 will perform songs outside of their musical genres.

ETA: The Dec 6 Semi-Final will feature individual performances, plus 90s themed duets. The FINAL PERFORMANCE episode will feature the Top 5 singing a ballad and an uptempo song for YOUR VOTES and a chance to WIN THE VOICE.

Team Blake Shelton, Team Kelly Clarkson, Team John Legend and Team Ariana Grande are ready to compete. And for the first time, results will be 100% in the viewers hands. Additionally, contestants with the lowest votes (including in the inevitable results show Instant Save) will leave the competition, regardless of Team affiliation.
