Chris Daughtry Postpones Tour After Sudden Death of His Daughter

Chris Daughtry is postponing his concert tour after the sudden death of his 25 year old daughter Hannah. He flew back to North Carolina to be with his family.

Hannah was found dead in her Nashville home Friday by the Nashville Police Department.

“Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been postponed,” a rep for the singer said in a statement on Friday.

“The Daughtry family thanks you for your understanding and respectfully asks for privacy during this very difficult time. Further details will be made available at a later date. The investigation into this tragic death is still ongoing.”

Hannah and her brother Griffin, 23, are Deanna’s children from a previous relationship. Chris and Deanna who met in 2000, also share twins Adalynn Rose and Noah James, 10.

The American Idol season 5 alum was out on the road co-headlining a tour with Sevendust in support of his band, Daughtry’s sixth studio album, released Sept 17, Dearly Beloved.

The tour kicked off on Nov. 3  at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville before heading to Providence, Rhode Island; Portland, Maine; Niagara Falls, New York; and Syracuse, New York.

The band was scheduled to make its sixth stop Friday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Chris also appeared as the Rottweiler in season 2 of The Masked Singer in 2019.
