Who from Team Blake Shelton, Team Kelly Clarkson, Team John Legend and Team Ariana Grande will make the cut? After last night’s viewer vote, the two highest vote getters from each team will advance. Next, the coaches will each save one team member. The highest remaining vote getter from each team PLUS the winner of The Voice Comeback, will sing for the Instant Save.
Right to it! Team Kelly takes center stage. DUMB QUESTIONS: Katie hopes America saw her soulful side last night. And saved by America are: Girl Named Tom and Jeremy Rosado!!! He looks stunned. I’m a little surprised myself. Kelly says “You’re all really gifted.” She seems heartbroken at the prospect of making a choice. But she picks Gymani because she’s been Team Kelly from the beginning.
Uh. Paris Hilton is on stage with Carson Daly. Her new reality show Paris in Love premiers on Peacock streaming in a few days. She’s getting married this week, and the reality show has covered every step of that. I’ll be tuning in (NOT).
Team Legend is next. Oops! No time for dumb questions. America saved…Jershika Maple! America also saved…Joshua Vacanti. WHAT THE WHAT THE WHAT? That result is out of left field. John has compliments for all the remaining singers. But he chooses Shadale to move on to the next round.
Now, it’s Team Ariana. America saved…Jim and Sasha Allen. OH MAN. Really? My predictions are crap. Also they were TERRIBLE last night. Just awful. Ariana is sobbing. I don’t see any tears, though. Hm. She promises to be in her eliminated team members’ corner forever. She picks Ryleigh Plank for the next round.
Last, it’s Team Blake. America saved…Wendy Moten! America also saved…Paris Winningham! “This sucks so bad!” says Blake who feels that everyone deserves to move on. “The music industry is tough.” And of course, he chooses Lana Scott because “the lane is wide open.” She’s the only country singer in the competition. He’s not going to let her go.
Carson brings out each of the remaining pairs to announce the artist with the most votes. Team Kelly is Haley Mia. Next, Team Legend. The artist with the most votes is Samuel Harness. From Team Ariana, Bella DeNapoli has the most votes. And Team Blake, the artist with the most votes is Peedy Chavis. All remaining top vote getters will perform in the Instant Save.
And the winner of The Voice Comeback contest is Vaughn Mogul from Team Ariana. Aaron Hines (Kelly), Samara Brown (John), Hailey Green (Blake) are eliminated.
Instant Save Performances
Samuel Harness – Team Legend – Before You Go by Lewis Capaldi – It’s disappointing that he’ll be eliminated. This performance, going first, isn’t going to do it for him. His voice is odd, but it’s interesting. Tonight, though, he seems a little nervous and off pitch. John thinks the moment pushed him to be the best he’s ever been. “You were pitch perfect.” Well, no. But his performance did pick up speed. The end was spectacular.
Bella DeNapoli – Team Ariana – Ain’t No Other Man by Christina Aguilera – Bella has a versatile instrument, but she has control and pitch issues. For instance, her higher notes in this performance are unwieldy. “America whip it out and get busy for Bella DiNapoli,” pleads Ariana. OK then!
Peedy Chavis – Team Blake – Stranger in My House by Ronnie Milsap – Peedy is dialing back the antics tonight. Instead of cheesy stage moves and bad singing, the audience is left with the bad singing. Boring. This is not an Instant Save winning performance. Blake has so much confidence in Peedy. He begs America to vote for him.
Hailey Mia – Team Blake – Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri – It’s too bad Hailey didn’t advance sooner. She delivers a beautiful performance. Kelly reminds America that Hailey is so young and so perfect, saying, “You were built for a show like this.” She adds, “I’m completely shocked you’re in this position.”
Vaughn Mugol – Team Ariana – Comeback artist – Lay Me Down by Sam Smith – Vaughn left the competition in the Battles for A REASON. He’s a weak singer. Nice tone, but his voice is soft and his range is limited. But he’s performing an emotional song in the final spot. He could win this thing. Ariana gushes that Vaugn has never sounded better.

The coaches deliver a few last words. Blake can’t believe Peedy didn’t advance. He promises to book the singer into one of his clubs. Ariana calls Bella’s artistry sharp and hopes to sing with her in the future. John loves Samuel’s unique voice and his story. “You make every song a moment.” Kelly is so impressed with Hailey, whom she calls an “incredible vocalist.” It’s just the beginning, she says. Ariana calls Vaughn a “light.”
And the Instant Save winner is…Hailey Mia! I can live with that.

These are very unexpected results.
The most surprising America Saves results are Joshua Vacanti and Jim and Sasha Allen. Joshua has been a solid performer, but nothing special. I expected Samuel Harness to take that spot. Jim and Sasha Allen have been spotty performers, and were downright awful last night. But then, Ariana’s team is pretty weak. Still, he beat big voiced singers Ryleigh Plank and Bella DeNapoli for that spot.
Samuel Harness‘ elimination is unfortunate, and a loss. He offered something completely unique to the competition. I didn’t expect Jeremy Rosado to advance without an assist. But then, he had the most name recognition, as a former Idol finalist from a popular season, coming into the competition.
But at this stage, with so many eliminations, there are always shocks and surprises.
