Ahead of its 20th season premiere, The Voice drops a delightful coach performance video. It might be the best one ever, as Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas literally rick roll their fans with a super cheesy version of “Together Forever.”
In the clip, Blake gets all sentimental, looking at Polaroids, as he remembers favorite moments from THe Voice. But then, suddenly he’s teleported into a crazy 80’s time warp, where he leads the coaches in a cover of the Rick Astley classic.
The video is basically a recreation of the original, right down to some of the outfits. Kelly’s 80’s look is on point!
The best part is Blake looking totally ridiculous singing lead vocals, while Kelly, John and Nick sing background vocals and perform the videos choreography. OK. I laughed.(Shhhh “Together Forever is a guilty pleasure). Watch for the fun cameo at the end!
The Voice season 20 starts on NBC Monday March 1.
