The Voice season 18 Top 9 will be revealed tonight. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas will do their thing from home, while Carson Daly hosts from The Voice Universal studios in Los Angeles. While last night’s performance episode was taped, the results will be revealed LIVE! Plus, 4 singers will compete for the Instant Save wildcard.

Here is how tonight’s results will work: The highest vote getting singer from each team moves on to Top 9, each coach picks a team member to make a Top 8. Then, once the Top 8 is revealed, the singer who received the next highest number of votes on each team, will perform in the 4 way wildcard. Fans will vote in real time.

Results! The artists wait for the news at home, surrounded by family. The internet connections seem to be iffy!
Starting with Team Blake Shelton. Dang. Dumb questions are still a thing. Joei says Blake’s support has meant the world to her. AMERICA SAVED….Todd Tilghman! No surprise there. Todd’s internet connection sucks. Hoo boy. Blake SAVES Toneisha Harris. Yup.
Team John Legend is next. America saved…CammWess! John SAVES Zan Fiskum. I got my prediction almost right, except swapped.
Team Kelly Clarkson – Woop. I think Carson is giving up on dumb questions. This is so awkward! America saved….Micah Iverson! Kelly SAVES Megan Danielle. She pretends to think about it. I mean, she obviously loves that girl. Kelly promises the remaining team she won’t abandon them.
Now, Team Nick Jonas. America Saved…Thunderstorm Artis! Nick chooses Allegra Miles!
Next it’s time for filler. And this filler, featuring the coaches and artists setting up their equipment is like, a week old!
Time to pick the Wildcard contestants. From Team Blake, the artist with the most votes is Joanna Seranko! And from Team John Legend performing in the wild card is Mandy Castillo! And from Team Kelly, Cedrice will perform in the wild card!!! And finally, from Team Nick, it’s Michael Williams.
Joanna Serenko – Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight by James Taylor – Joanna phrasing and musical timing is so good. Her burnished alto reminds me of a jazzy Karen Carpenter. However, the song lacks the big notes fans vote for. And airing first? She doesn’t have a chance. Blake calls her voice smooth, warm and accurate. He begs America to vote for her.
Mandi Castillo – True Colors by Cyndi Lauper – She took a big chance singing in Spanish last night. Maybe this song would have been a better pick? Her voice is lovely and expressive. She truly put her on spin on the song. John calls it “perfectly executed. He asks America to please vote for her.
Cedrice – Breathin’ by Ariana Grande – Well, I know who I’m voting for. Cedrice is a one of a kind singer. Her quirky look and manner, plus the fact that she’s a jazzy, subtle songstress works against, her, I think. Kelly loves Cedrice “You are such star,” she says. “I cannot wait to buy your record some day.” She does NOT beg America to vote.
Michael Williams – To Love Somebody by the Bee Gees – Singing last, singing a Boomer favorite. Michael has got this in the bag. If I didn’t prefer Cedrice and Joanna as singers, I would be perfectly OK with him winning the wild card. Nick holds up his sign: WOW STAR!
