Chevel Shepherd and Kirk Jay are killing it on the iTunes chart. But will either of them win the streaming bonus? Will Chris Kroeze extend his two week streaming bonus run into three weeks? There seems to be no correlation between how artists land on the iTunes chart and who earns the streaming bonus, so we shall see.
Kennedy doesn’t show up on the chart until No. 14. I’m not surprised. Without at least one big pageant song, she wasn’t going to chart well. Ballads and inspirational songs rule the day. Speaking of which–when was the last time a final did NOT feature an artist singing a Jesus song?
If I were queen of The Voice and got to decide the winner, I’d hand the crown to Chevel. She’s the most interesting artist remaining. Also, props to Kennedy for taking a few risks. Maybe different song choices would have earned her the win. But maybe showing the world who you really are is the most important thing.
