This week’s The Glee Project has the remaining contestants rehearsing and filming videos in pairs.
Not only am I posting previews of 3 duets right here, but I thought it would be interesting to compare the newbie versions to the original duets performed on Glee.
Glee duets are some of my favorite moments in the FOX series, and I’ve got to say ditto for these Glee Project performances. The last couple of video projects have been weak, but these duets are pretty entertaining.
Who do you think performed it better? Although The Glee Project contestants do a great job, I’ve got to go with original flavah (Mostly)!
Darren Criss will be back as mentor tonight. After all is said and done, another contestant will be eliminated leaving us with 7 hopefuls. I’ll recap the show later on tonight. It airs on Oxygen at 9 pm.
In the meantime….Duets! Enjoy!
The Glee Project – Damien & Matheus – Lady is a Tramp
OMG the difference in their heights is hilarious! Funny in the Gene Kelly/Donald O’Connor tradition

Mark Salling and Amber Riley (Season 1 – Laryngitis)
Swing, baby swing. A duet that didn’t look good on paper actually totally works.

The Glee Project – Cameron & Lindsay – Baby It’s Cold Outside
Nice. But no Klaine

Darren Criss & Chris Colfer – Baby It’s Cold Outside (Season 2 – A Very Glee Christmas)
*HEART* That is all.

Glee Project – Marissa & Samuel – Don’t You Want Me
Marissa and Samuel have tons of charisma. I could see either one winning the competition, despite the fact that Marissa gets hardly any airtime. This performance is better than the Glee version.

Darren Criss and Lea Michele – Don’t You Want Me (Season 2 – Blame it On Alcohol)
Lea Michele’s Rachel needs more edge to really make this work, but Darren rocks it out just fine
