Scotty McCreery headed back to high school today to shoot the music video for his latest single, “The Trouble With Girls.” (Via the Charlotte Observer)

The “American Idol” winner invited about 70 of his friends to take part in the production at Garner High School, where Scotty is currently a senior.

Scotty attended the last concert of Brad’s tour in Raleigh, NC Sunday night. When the Idol winner joined the country superstar and his openers and crew onstage for the encore performance of “Alcohol”, Brad invited Scotty to tour.

Scotty McCreery called into the Ryan Seacrest radio show to talk about his debut album Clear As Day, set to to be released October 4.

Ryan has posted a 30 second clip of “Walk in the Country” the Keith Urban cover from the record, but you can listen to much longer clips at iTunes.

Scotty McCreery was undeniably an old school country boy on AI, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t questions about the kind of music he would release after the show. Traditional country isn’t exactly pervasive at country radio these days, nor is there an established market in country music for male teenagers. How many songs are out there that fit a traditional country-leaning 17 year old guy and how would Scotty bear up in a marketplace that has recently seen a surge from 30-something males like Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, and Jake Owen and the 26 year old Chris Young?

Now, Scotty reveals to Country Weekly the name of the tune!
