EW Fall Album Roundup: Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert & More!

A Fall album preview in the new issue of EW, mentions CDs from Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Lambert (November TBA date for Adam).

There’s not much information in it we haven’t already heard (Scotty & Lauren’s producers, Adam’s new “Outlaws of Love”), but in a two-page spread on the soundtrack of Kelly Clarkson’s life, she reveals some new details about her upcoming album, Stronger, set for an October 25 release. (There’s also a very nice NEW photo of Kelly accompanying the article).

Scotty McCreery & Lauren Alaina – CMA Country Music Fest – VIDEO

Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery’s first big trip to Nashville was featured on tonight’s ABC Special CMA Music Fest: Country’s Night to Rock.

The American Idol 10 runner-up and winner are interviewed as they take in the sights of Nashville and meet some of their fans. Later, they perform with their Idols on the LP stage. Lauren performs “Anyway” with Martina McBride while Scotty sings what’s become his theme song, “Your Man” with Josh Turner.

Scotty McCreery – Clear As Day – Song Demo

Clear as Day is the name of Scotty McCreery’s debut album, set to be released October 4. It’s also the name of one of Scotty’s favorite songs on the album, as he explained in a recent press release. The tune was written by Casey Beatherd, Phil O’Donnell and Adam Wheeler.

There’s a Canadian songwriter named Phil O’Donnell, who has several country hits under his belt and an artist page with a slew of streaming demos. One of the tunes is called “Clear as Day.” Could this be the same song Scotty recorded for his debut? I’m thinking…probably.
