He says their split had nothing to do with affairs. Jada Pinkett Smith, his co-star on Hawthone, and a rumored lover, has been a friend for years.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Jennifer Lopez is close to signing a new deal as judge with American Idol.

All parties are keeping mum on the issue. Producer Cécile Frot-Coutaz, declined to comment on the negotiations when contacted by WSJ, only to say, “We’re in good shape. No worries. No dark clouds on the horizon.”

And Jennifer’s people say, “There is nothing to announce”.

American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez began hawking her new perfume “Love and Light” on HSN yesterday.

Jennifer talked about her upcoming career plans, but there was no mention of Idol. She says she’s got a couple of films coming up in the fall, and then after that, “I’m going to see where we go from there.”

She also announces her next single, “Papi”.

It’s official. Jennifer Lopez has joined Cameron Diaz in Lionsgate’s movie adaptation of What To Expect When You’re Expecting. Jlo will play Holly, a woman who adopts a baby from abroad with her husband after difficulty conceiving. It’s one story in a plot that weaves together 4 tales.

In the meantime, Jennifer has still not decided whether she will return to Idol or not…
