Survivor Season 46 Week 10 Live Blog

A new episode of Survivor 46 airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap here.

The tribe returns to camp after tribal council. Hunter was voted out with an idol in his pocket. Liz is annoyed no one told her about the split vote plan between Q and Hunter. She wants to know why she was excluded. Venus tells her that everything happened ten minutes before tribal council. Liz feels dumb. She wanted to get Q out since she can’t trust him moving forward.

Tiffany is glad Hunter was voted out since he was a threat in the immunity challenges. She still wants Q out next. She says Q flew too close to the sun and his wings burned off. However, Maria wants to pull Q to her side. She talks to Q while he’s alone. In her confessional, Maria admits Q is a wildcard, but she thinks there are bigger fish to fry. Q knows everyone wants him out, so he doesn’t want to sit around the fire and talk to everybody. He plans to win immunity to stay in the game.

The next morning Kenzie, Maria, and Charlie talk game. Kenzie doesn’t know if they can still pull off the Tiffany blindside anymore. That was the original plan yesterday before it switched to Hunter. Maria thinks they can still blindside Tiffany with Q’s help. Kenzie says she and Tiffany have played the same game. Kenzie wants to differentiate herself from Tiffany, so that’s why she wants to vote Tiffany out.

Reward challenge

It’s time for the reward challenge. The castaways must race through a series of obstacles and then throw a sack of sandbags through a net tunnel. Afterwards, they will grab one last sandbag, go under a net, and then toss the sandbag to land on a very high target. The winner of the challenge will win an Applebees meal. Liz says getting Applebee’s on Wednesdays is a tradition for her and her daughter. They get food there to watch Survivor together.

The challenge begins, and Q takes the early lead. Tiffany is close behind him. They’re the first two to start tossing their sandbags, but eventually everyone else catches up. Whoever lands their sandbag first will win. Finally, Q lands his sandbag first. Q wins reward! Jeff lets him know it’s an overnight stay at the sanctuary. Jeff tells him to pick one person. Q picks Tiffany. Tiffany is surprised since Q and Tiffany got into a heated exchange at the previous tribal council, but she says they can talk things out in a calmer environment.

Pick one more person

Jeff says Q can pick one more person. Before Q picks, Liz begs him to pick her. Q picks Maria since she checked on him when he was alone. Jeff tells him to pick one more person while Liz is sobbing. Q picks Kenzie to “bring the family back together.” Liz is angry. “I’m pissed!” she screams. Liz has food allergies, so she’s unable to eat as much as the others. Liz yells that Q blew up her game. Q reminds Liz that she voted for him last night. Liz is beside herself, but she eventually calms herself and apologizes for her outburst. Jeff says she doesn’t need to apologize for her emotions before Q, Tiffany, Maria, and Kenzie depart for their Applebees reward.

Liz, Ben, Charlie, and Venus return to camp. Ben says Q is a villain for not picking Liz to go on the reward. He speculates Q is trying to rekindle his Yanu alliance, but Ben hopes they still vote him out next. Meanwhile on the reward, we see Q, Tiffany, Maria, and Kenzie enjoy their food. They also discuss Liz’s outburst. In his confessional, Q thinks his only option is to go back to his Yanu tribe members Tiffany and Kenzie. He also says Maria has been in his corner. Q says he doesn’t owe Liz anything. In her confessional, Kenzie says it’s going to take more than an Applebees meal for her to forget how Q excluded her from plans earlier in the game. She also couldn’t believe Q picked her instead of Liz.

Talking game

After Q takes a walk, Kenzie and Tiffany talk game with Maria still present. Tiffany says she won’t change her plans just because Q is on an apology tour. In her confessional, Maria still trusts Q, but she realizes he’s rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Even though she wants to keep him in the game, she admits he may have to go at the next tribal council.

The next morning, Q, Tiffany, Maria, and Kenzie return to camp. Liz doesn’t want to hear anything they have to say, but she sits and listen as they talk about the food they ate. Afterwards, Liz apologizes to Q for exploding, but Q says she’s allowed to express her emotions. In her confessional, Liz says her apology was a lie and that she still plans to vote for Q. In his confessional, Q explains not picking Liz was a business decision and he can pick whoever he wants. He doesn’t care about Liz’s apology.

Charlie and Maria catch up. Maria lets Charlie know Q proposed voting out Venus next and then Liz afterwards. She adds that Kenzie and Tiffany want to vote for Q. Charlie asks if the Tiffany blindside is still possible, but Maria thinks it depends if Q wins immunity or not. Charlie and Maria want to blindside Tiffany since she has a hidden immunity idol, but everyone else wants to vote for Q. Everyone is on the mindset of not letting Q win immunity today, but Charlie doesn’t want Tiffany winning immunity either.

Immunity challenge

It’s time for the immunity challenge. It’s an endurance challenge that requires them to hold onto a handle containing 25% of their pre-game body weight. The bucket will lower when their hands start to fatigue. The last one holding on will win immunity. Before the challenge, Jeff offers them rice again. Four people must sit out for the rice. He asks if anyone is interested in sitting out of the challenge. Kenzie volunteers. Liz volunteers. Jeff also offers them rice for one individual if no one else sits out. Everyone tells Liz to take the individual rice. Liz claims the individual rice, and everyone else will be participating in the challenge.

Afterwards, the challenge begins. Venus is the first to drop her bucket. Ben drops his bucket next. Q’s bucket is dropping, and Venus and Ben are on the sidelines rooting for it to fall. Q’s bucket eventually falls. “Karma exists,” Venus says. After Q’s bucket falls, Kenzie and Maria’s buckets drop. Only Tiffany and Charlie remain in the challenge. Tiffany looks solid, but out of nowhere her bucket falls. Charlie wins immunity!

The tribe returns to camp after the immunity challenge. Tiffany wants Q gone. She says it’s an easy vote as everybody will be voting for Q tonight. Tiffany is betting that she can hold on to her idol a little longer since Q is currently the biggest target. Meanwhile, Kenzie and Maria discuss blindsiding Tiffany tonight. Kenzie is getting cold feet, but Maria thinks now is the time. In her confessional, Kenzie says she lost respect for Q and wants to vote him out. She’s not interested in voting out Tiffany anymore.

More game talk

Maria talks game with Q. Maria says voting Tiffany out could still be an option for tonight. Later, Maria talks to Ben about blindsiding Tiffany. She says they need to get her hidden immunity idol out of the game. Ben agrees voting Tiffany out is the better strategic play since the idol becomes more dangerous the longer it stays in the game. Maria, Charlie, and Ben count four votes against Tiffany. They want one more vote, and they debate between Venus and Liz. Who do they trust more?

Maria approaches Liz about the vote. Maria says everybody is against Q, but she says now is the time to blindside Tiffany. She says this will be their only opportunity. In her confessional, Liz is torn. She admits getting Tiffany out would be a big move, but would this just be a move for Maria to make in front of the jury? Liz is also angry with Q and is eager to get him out of the game.

Tribal council

It’s time for tribal council. Jeff asks them to review where the game is. He says everybody voted out so far has been blindsided. He asks if Q was the center of discussion again. Q says he keeps to himself. He only talks game if someone else approaches him. Tiffany agrees that he did sit back and realized the situation. She says it was very peaceful back at camp.

Kenzie says Q was a smokescreen last time, but everybody is on the same page tonight. Jeff shifts the discussion to the reward challenge and Liz’s outburst. Liz tells Jeff that she apologized to Q to not make it awkward for everyone else, but she says she can’t work with Q in the game. Q says it’s not in his control if he stays in the game or not. Ben says he’s “over it” in regards to Q being in the game.

Jeff reminds them again that people on the jury were blindsided thinking it was Q going home. Charlie admits the silence today was eerie. Maria says everybody is thinking about their resumes. She says a blindside would be a huge move, but it won’t be happening tonight. Jeff asks if keeping Q would be a better move, but everybody shakes their head no. Tiffany doesn’t think anybody thinks that Q would be good for their games. Q says he can’t make people vote with him. He’s already accepted he could be going home tonight. He was already prepared to go home two tribal councils ago. Finally, it’s time for the vote.

The vote

We see Venus vote for Q and Q vote for Tiffany. But who will be voted out tonight?

Before Jeff reads the votes, no one plays a hidden immunity idol.

The first vote is for…

Q

Tiffany

Q

Q

Tiffany

Tiffany

Tiffany

Tiffany

Tiffany is the eleventh person voted out and the fourth member of the jury. Tiffany and Kenzie are blindsided.

And that wraps up tonight’s episode of Survivor. Thanks for reading, and come back next week for another live recap.
