In the clip, contestant Kyle Williams performs his original hip-hop tune, “I’m Just Getting Started.”  Checking out Kyle’s song is Aloe Blacc, Fast and Furious director, David Leitch and panelists Ryan Tedder, Ester Dean and Shane McAnally.

Afterward, Leitch is pleased. “There’s a swagger…that is undeniable, that is emblematic of those two [lead] characters in the Fast world,” he says. Ester wonders “where else can we go in the song to…take it somewhere else?”

Aloe wants further the story with a bridge that will “tug the heart a little bit.”  While Shane plays around with the chorus’ lyrics, Aloe works on the melody, adding a “nice drop.”  Ryan adds that the song “needs to be as edgy as possible.”

Additionally, Kyle co-penned Stars Go Dim’s hit “You Are Loved.” He also co-wrote and performed on the track “Welcome To The Fire,” which was recently licensed to  NBC’s Chicago Fire, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and the film I Still See You
