Shaina “Shi” Scott is a singer, actress and model from Florida who currently resides in Maryland. Currently, Shi is a member and dancer in So Fresh Entertainment, which is a wedding/celebration/party entertainment group. In addition to performing with the group, Shi also appeared in the music video for Chris Bivins’s HoCo Red. Shi currently manages her own website and writes on it excitedly about her upcoming American Idol journey.

In 2013, Shi auditioned for The Voice season 4 (when Danielle Bradbery won), and managed to advance to the blind auditions. In front of the four coaches, she performed Dude Looks Like A Lady, by Aerosmith, and due to most of the coaches already having full teams, she did not advance to the battle rounds. In the end, her audition was not televised, but she discussed her experiences in a hilarious youtube video that I highly recommend you all check out! This season, Shi made it much further then just the auditions, so look out for her as she auditioned in New York City and has advanced to the top 24 of American Idol!

Overall Thoughts: This girl is all personality and I love her! Shi’s Youtube videos describing her experiences on reality shows are really hilarious and her covers are equally strong. Now, in terms of her voice, as much as I love her, I’ve seen confident girls like her on many of these shows, and they never seem to last. Shi is an ok singer and has a great personality, but I would be surprised if she advances to the top 13.

Song Suggestions:
