Meet Savion Wright American Idol 2015 Season 14 Top 24 Contestant
Savion Wright is a singer-songwriter from Jasper, Texas, who American Idol viewers might remember from last season. Despite him being unjustly cut at that time, Savion is back with a vengeance. Idol aside, for a moment, Savion lists John Mayer, Lenny Kravitz, The Police and more as his influences. In addition, Savion describes himself as a multi-instrumentalist, a performer, story-teller and lover of life.

In 2013, Savion auditioned for American Idol’s 13th season. For his audition, he performed his original song “Dark Side Of Me,” which got him rave reviews from the judges. Easily scoring his ticket to Hollywood, for the next round, he performed another original “Breathing Underwater,” which he dedicated to his late brother.
Unfortunately, after performing another original song for his final Hollywood solo, Savion was tragically cut and did not advance to the top 30. However, this season, Savion has officially gone further then he did last season! Look out for him on Idol this season, I’m pretty sure we have a front runner here.
Overall Thoughts: Unjustly cut last season, for season 14 Savion is here to stay. I’m a continuing strong fan of his, and I see no reason that will stop him from advancing to the top 13. That said, I see Savion actually in the top 5 this year. Go Savion!
1) The General, by Dispatch. I love this song. If he just plays it simply with an acoustic guitar and really tells the story, I think he will have a moment.
2) Viva La Vida, by Coldplay. Savion has an epic cover of this song on his youtube channel! If he brings what he brought to that video to the Idol stage, there will be no denying his’ front runner status.
