With 88% of reports in, HDD is predicting that 21 Savage will have the number one album of the week. “The Greatest Showman” soundtrack featuring Loren Allred is the energizer bunny of the album world as it is currently in third position over a year since release. Camila Cabello continues on the chart at 47th with her strong debut with “Camila”.

HDD also has an infographic that shows the growth of Christmas music streaming between 2017 and 2018. 2017 had 250M streams while 2018 had 802M during Christmas week (221% increase). Is Alexa the new iPod?

HDD’s article on song revenue for last week notes that 8 of the top 10 and 36 of the top 50 were Christmas songs. The top generator was Mariah’s “All I Want for Christmas” bringing in $272K. Kelly Clarkson’s “Underneath the Tree” is 27th with $134K. Full chart here.
