No new concerts to report, but a couple of industry headlines:
Billboard reports that the best selling album in the UK last year was the soundtrack from “The Greatest Showman” which featured Loren Allred from “The Voice”. It sold 1.6M units. Also selling well are the “NOW!” compilation albums with 99, 100 and 101 making the list. Featured on these albums are performers such as Camila Cabello, James Arthur, Calum Scott, Liam Payne, Normani and Little Mix.
HDD reports that the UK Music Biz saw an 8.9% (£1.33B). They have an infographic showing how the market breaks down with the majority of the market being streaming.
