Sales News – Week Ending 09/17/15

This weekend, it looks like The Weekend will be topping the Hot 100 and the BB200 for another week. I do think The Weekend will be switching songs on the top of the Hot 100 with “The Hills” that was number 2 last week moving into the number one slot and replacing “Can’t Feel My Face”. Meanwhile, The Weeknd isn’t giving anyone else a break as he continues to dominate the BB200 with his single sales and streams. While English rockers “Bring Me the Horizon” (I love that name) will top the album sales chart, they just aren’t moving those singles.

Also opening in the top 10 this week are Brett Eldredge (Country), Slayer (thrash metal), Gary Clark Jr. (Alt, Blues Rock, Soul) and Duran Duran (80s Super Band).

Leona Lewis, winner from the UK version of X-Factor, debuts her new album this week which comes in at 29 on the sales chart. She is 43rd on the Combined chart. Melanie Martinez from the Voice is right behind her on the combined at 44.
