Monday Morning Mediabase: 02/20/2017

We have 7 milestones to toast this Monday Morning.

On Country radio this week, we have three milestones from Idols. Season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina moves into the top 10 for the first time in her career with a “Road Less Traveled”. This is also the title of her EP which was recently released. Also working an EP is final Idol winner Trent Harmon. He achieves his first top 20 radio hit with “There’s a Girl”. Finally, we have no stranger to the Country charts: Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood. She collaborates with former Idol Judge Keith Urban to create “The Fighter” which they recently performed on The Grammys. The song debuts in the top 50 on Country radio (with the second largest bullet of the week).

Continuing with the Idol theme, we have Colton Dixon on CAC. His “All That Matters” is the debut single from his TBA next album and it moves into the top 30 on CAC this week.

X-Factor winner James Arthur had a big week this week. His US debut single “Say You Won’t Let Go” went top 30 in Pop and AC. The song is already top 15 (almost top 10) in HAC. Zayn is another UK X-Factor franchise alumnus and his collaboration with Taylor Swift “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” went top 5 on HAC.

Zayn also helps to propel the “Fifty Shades of Darker” Soundtrack to number one on the BB200.
