After TMZ spilled a little scoop yesterday, the usual suspects, no doubt went scurrying for their own Idol news to report.
Here’s what E News came up with, and it’s pretty weak:
Randy Jackson is reportedly “locked in” for the next season of Idol. His definite return will be announced with the other judges. (Didn’t Nigel Lythgoe pretty much confirm this?)
TMZ reported yesterday that Jennifer Lopez is very close to signing a deal and earlier reports have Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler already signed on the dotted line.
An E News source reports that the production staff that goes along on the tour of cities for the judges’ round of auditions have not been given their itineraries yet, and have been told they’ll know the details “by the end of September.”
With the last cattle call scheduled to begin September 22, its reasonable to assume the judges rounds will take place in October/November.
