Ratings for a Queen themed American Idol with alum Adam Lambert as mentor hit a seven week high. The ratings were up 1/10th of a point–from a 1.3 to a 1.4 in the key 18-49 demo from last week’s final update. Keep your eyes peeled this afternoon or tomorrow. Due to Idol airing live across all time zones there will be adjustments in the final update–probably rising another 1/10th of a point.
The penultimate episode of World of Dance rose 1/1oth of a point from 0.7 to 0.8 in the key demo. That, after several weeks of holding steady. We’ll see how the finale does next Sunday.
UPDATE: American Idol rose 2/10ths of a point in the Nielsen final update! That’s a 1.6 in the key 18-49 rating and upwards of 9 million viewers. Only the season premiere, at 1.7, earned a higher rating. Good job, Idol.
