Phillip Phillips to Re-Release Debut Album With New Live Cuts

Phillip Phillips’ album, The World from the Side of the Moon was certified platinum last month, having shipped at least 1 million copies to retailers. But now there’s a reason for a double celebration, as the American Idol season 11 winner’s debut  has also sold over 1 million copies.

To celebrate, Phillip’s label, Interscope, announced on twitter today, that they will be re-releasing the album, with 3 additional live cuts including  “Gone, Gone, Gone,” “Where We Came From” and “Man on the Moon.” The new songs were recorded during stops on John Mayer’s Born and Raised tour. The set will come out on the 1st anniversary of the album’s original release, November 19.  The 3 new tracks will also be available separately on an EP titled Phillip Phillips: Live.

“I am so thankful for all who have supported me and my music this year,” Phillips said.  “Live music is my passion and I want to be able to share that with my fans.”

Phillip Phillips will continue touring on the next leg of the John Mayer tour, with a few college dates interspersed (makeups for the dates he cancelled last spring).
