Phillip was honored to perform the National Anthem, but very relieved when he finished! Relaxing after his performance with his wife Hannah Blackwell.
Meanwhile, the NFL official twitter account posted a video message from Patriots superfan, Scotty McCreery. The singer grew up in North Carolina, but learned to love New England teams via his father, who was born and bred in Maine. It was a good day for Scotty. The Patriots won by a score of 24-20 and will will be heading to Minnesota to play in Super Bowl 52 on February 4.

From one American Idol winner to another. Scotty won the title in 2011, and Phillip the year after. So, of course Scotty tagged Phillip in a congratulatory tweet after the latter’s performance. And Phillip tweeted back his thanks.
