Oops! Out promoting her stint as judge on the FOX show The Masked Dancer, Paula Abdul answered some “shady” questions on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
In a segment, called “Shady Skat Kat” the former American Idol judge answered a few spicy questions from the animated star of her “Opposites Attract” video, Skat Kat.
Paula can’t name American Idol winners from the ABC reboot
When Mr. Kat asked Paula, who left the show after season 8, if she could name an American Idol winner from the three seasons the show has aired on ABC, she stared blankly at the camera and said “I can’t, I’m sorry. I can’t.” To be fair, Paula would likely have difficulty naming ANY winner from the seasons after her departure!

Host Andy Cohen went on to ask why the show was still even on the air. “Kind of seemed like the heyday is over, don’t you think?” Andy asked. “Well there was nothing like the original cast…it was such an incredible show and it changed the trajectory of everyone’s lives and careers and television,” Paula answered. But ever the diplomat, she clarified the she didn’t have time to “catch up” adding praise for the new hosts, “But I love Katy [Perry]. I love Luke [Bryan] and I love Lionel [Richie].”
Paula weighs in on Ellen Degeneres
Skat Cat also asked what she thought of Ellen Degeneres replacing her as judge on the American Idol panel. “First of all I was ready to leave so I had already made peace with that and I thought Ellen would be great, I really did,” she said. “Her perspective was just of a fan, a regular person in the audience watching and I thought she did a good job.”
Sorry, Andy. Paula is never going to say anything mean about anybody, no matter how hard you try.
