After saying that he usually doesn’t share his personal pics for “pic of the day,” Nick Cannon announced on his daytime talk show that he wanted to share “this beautiful extraordinary moment.”
He announced model Bre Tiesi as the next mother of his next child. The photos Nick shared are from a gender reveal party held on Sunday, where the couple revealed they are expecting a baby boy.
Negative comments hurt Nick’s feelings
“That sounds weird saying the next mother because as everybody knows, I have a lot of children and I love them all dearly sincerely and every single one of my children are just as special as the other,” Nick said.
“I try to always operate on the highest frequency, but as much as I try to ignore some of the negative or the lower frequency things, I’m not impervious to hearing and reading what people say about me,” Nick confessed, “Look, ya’ll, it definitely affects me because I’m a human being.”
“I hear people say they think I’m crazy or there’s something wrong with me or even more so, when they say I’m careless and irresponsible and selfish.” Nick shared that he’s been attending therapy sessions. “Just to build myself up.”
Nick knew about Bre’s pregnancy before his son Zen passed away from cancer
Nick has known about Bre’s pregnancy for awhile. “Even before my youngest son Zen passed in December.” Nick wasn’t sure when the right time would be to revealt the new pregnancy. “We didn’t expect Zen to pass away.” Trying to figure out how to deal with it all kept Nick up at night. “I always talk about the guilt that I felt in losing Zen and how to deal with this for my other children.”
“I wanted to definitely respect the grieving process with Alyssa [Zen’s mother],” said Nick. Bree was “respectful enough” to hold off making her announcement.” Nick wanted to hold off even longer. But after the gender reveal leaked to the press, the decision to discuss it was made for him. “But it happened, we’re here,” said Nick.
Nick expecting his eight child
The child will be Tiesi’s first and Nick’s eighth. The Nick Cannon Show host is already dad to 10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey; 4-year-old Golden “Sagon” and 1-year-old Powerful Queen, whom he shares with Brittany Bell; and 7-month-old twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, whom he shares with Abby De La Rosa.
Cannon is also father to a child with Alyssa Scott — son Zen, who died on Dec. 5 after being diagnosed with brain cancer last year.
Nick also hosts The Masked Singer for FOX, and hosted NBC’s America’s Got Talent from 2009-2016.
