Comcast’s NBCUniversal signed a multi-year deal to provide Snapchat with content starting with The Voice on Snapchat and an E! News-produced show, The Rundown. These will be followed by original material from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live, and more.
Fans of The Voice will have the opportunity to submit videos to voicesnaps.com and perhaps appear on the show in front of the coaches, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
The Voice on Snapchat will launch as a five-episode short-form series on August 22, the day after The Voice premieres on NBC with a 30 minute preview right after the 2016 Summer Olympics closing ceremony. Submitted videos will be reviewed by the coaches panel and at least one contestant will appear on The Voice’s September 19 official season premiere.
Watch this short film featuring Miley. She delivers instructions on how to proceed. Good luck to the peeps who audition!
