Monday Morning Mediabase 09/20/2021

Three milestones for the third Monday of September.

The first two milestones are for the same artist – Danny Gokey from Season 8 of American Idol. He finished third in his season and has carved out a niche for himself on Christian Radio. This week his current single “Stand in Faith” climbs into the top 20 on CAC radio. Meanwhile, his “The Comeback”, originally released in 2017 debuts on the AC chart. All those spins are from one radio station, so they may be switching formats.

Over on Active Rock, we see popular Season 5 American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry and his band (Daughtry) ascend into the top 5. “Heavy is the Crown” is from their “Dearly Beloved” album which was dropped on Friday.

Over on the BB200, Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” falls to 8th (from 6th) with 39K in equivalent album sales (-3%).
