Monday Morning Mediabase 04/26/2021

The end of April sees two debuts and two top thirties.

Two songs go from 34th to arrive in the top 30 at 29th. Chris Daughtry finished fourth on the fifth season of Idol and went on to massive success with his eponymous band. This week, Daughtry’s “Heavy is the Crown” moves into the top 30 on Active Rock. The song is set to appear on their TBA album.

Another reality singer to not win the fifth season of his show, but have success is Duncan Laurence. He made it to the semi-finals of the fifth season of The Voice of Holland (the mother-ship of The Voice franchise) and went on to win Eurovision with “Arcade”. Arcade achieves top 30 this week (34->29) and is also in the top 15 on AC and top 20 on HAC.

Colton Dixon finished 7th on the 11th season of Idol and has had success on Christian radio. “Made to Fly” is from a TBA album and flew onto the charts to debut top 50 on CAC. Mandisa was on the same season of Idol as Chris Daughtry and her “Way Maker” returns to the CAC chart.

Finally, we have Fousheé from Season 15 of The Voice USA (Team Adam). “Single AF” went for adds last week on UR&B and this week it debuts in the top 50.

On the BB200, Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerou: The Double Album” is third with 56K equivalent albums (-4% from last week).
