Monday Morning Mediabase 02/22/2021

The last week of February features one milestone and it’s a bit of a stretch.

Duncan Laurence was on the fifth season of “The Voice of Holland” and then went on to represent The Netherlands in the 2019 “Eurovision Song Contest” (he was nominated by his Voice coach DeLange). The song he sang was “Arcade” and it helped him to win the contest. That song is now on the charts in the US and this week it went into the top 40 on AC.

The X-Factor US gave rise to Fifth Harmony and their “Work from Home” returns to the AC chart. Normani originally tried out as a solo singer that year and was placed in Fifth Harmony. She’s had hits of her own including “Love Lies” from the “Love Simon” soundtrack. This collaboration with Khalid is back on the AC charts as well this week.

Finally, we have Morgan Wallen who will not yield the top of the BB200 chart. “Dangerous: The Double Album” spends its sixth week on the top of the BB200 chart with 93K in equivalent album sales (-38%). Of that 81K are SEAs (-24%, 112.11M streams), 10K in sales (-74%), and 2K in TEAs (-64%).
