Three milestones to celebrate this President’s Day.
Danny Gokey from the energetically engaged Season 8 of Idol has brought another song into the top 15 on CAC. “New Day”. He has become a consistent performer in the Christian music format.
Fousheé heralds from Season 15 of the Voice where she was on Team Adam. She currently has two songs charting spread across three formats. This week, she achieves a milestone with “Deep End” going top 40 on Pop.
From the Dutch version of The Voice, we see Duncan Laurence debut his Eurovision song “Arcade” on AC.
Morgan Wallen is perhaps the most successful alumnus of The Voice where he was on both Team Usher and Team Adam. He’s not on the radio anymore, but that hasn’t stopped him from staying on the top of the BB200 album for a fifth week. Not only is his new album continuing to ride high, his previous album achieved new heights this week. “Dangerous: The Double Album” earned equivalent album sales of 150K (+1%). It has 107K SEAs (-9%, 146.38M streams), 37K sales (+49%) and 5K TEAs (-6%). Perhaps the lack of Morgan on the radio is causing his diehard fans to find him in another venue or to buy several copies of his album (many an old Idol fan remembers that trick). His 2018 album “If I Know Me” passed its previous high of 13th to hit top 10. It had 29K (+33%) in equivalent albums of which 17K SEAs (+12%, 24.95M), 10K sales (+101%) and 2K TEAs (+16%).
