French magician Nicolas Ribs brought his daughter to his America’s Got Talent audition to serve as translator in front of the judges panel.

Daughter Emma explains that Nicolas began performing magic at age 20 while working as an audiologist in France. Eventually, he became a professional magician. She explains that her father was inspired to audition for AGT because she is a “huge fan” of the show. “I told him if he wants to participate [in] the greatest show in the world, you have to audition [for] America’s Got Talent.”

However, Nicolas is no stranger to the Got Talent franchise. In 2019 he appeared on La France a un Incroyable Talent (France’s Got Talent) Watch HERE.

In the new early release audition clip, judges Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell discuss whether Nicolas is nervous or not, as he takes a few deep breaths. He sits at a table that depicts the Paris skyline to make objects that appear on the photo suddenly appear in his hand.

Nicolas performs a slick sleight of hand routine that turns flat objects three dimensional. Eventually, he introduces playing cards which he makes reappear and disappear. He also removes elements from the cards with a touch of his finger. He finishes the routine with a patriotic flourish that gets the judges panel on their feet.

Find out what Sofia, Simon, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum have to say about Nicolas’s act when America’s Got Talent airs on NBC Tuesday June 28 at 8 pm.
