X Factor UK judge, Louis Walsh, revealed on the UK show, The Seven O’Clock Show, that after 11 seasons, he doesn’t think he’ll be returning to to the show when it returns to ITV in the fall.”
“I’m done with X Factor, honestly,” he said. Could boss Simon Cowell possibly change his mind? “I’d have to really think about it,” Louis added. “I’ve done 11 seasons and that’s a long time in television – I don’t think I’ll be going back.”
“I think they are going to change the show,’ he added. ‘I think they are going to get new faces.”
“I know Dermot [O’Leary] is gone – and I don’t know who else will be back”
Host Dermot O’Leary announced his X Factor exit a few weeks ago. Rumors are that X Factor alum, Olly Murs and Caroline Flack are to replace him.
“Simon will probably be back because it’s his show. Cheryl [Cole]… I’m not sure,” said Louis. “I don’t know who else will be back.” (According to The Sun, Simon has promised Cheryl that she will return to the panel.)
Louis claims that he had decided not to return to X Factor this year, because he wanted to focus on being a music manager.
“I’d like to get back to where I started off,” said Louis, “I never even wanted to be on TV, it just happened.”
