Aly and Steve won the last leg of the race (as well as a new Ford Focus each) and they are the first to begin the next leg of the race. They open their clue and learn their new destination is Monaco. They must first fly to Nice, France and then take a helicopter to Monaco. Once there, they must go to Hotel Westminster and be dressed in formal attire. Aly and Steve book their tickets, with Matt and Ashley behind them. However, Aly and Steve got the last spot on their flight, so the other teams must get on a later flight. Mike and Rochelle were going to be on a flight much later than the other teams, but they were on standby for Aly and Steve’s flight. Lucky for them, they get a spot on that flight. As well, Matt and Ashley were wrongly given tickets for a much later flight and are now behind the other teams.
All the teams arrive in Nice, France and they get dressed in their fancy attire. The next morning, they take their helicopter to Monaco. They arrive there and they learn they have a Roadblock to complete. Steve does the Roadblock, which requires team members to pamper their partners. Steve must go get a bouquet of roses and a box of chocolates. Then he must find Aly waiting for him on a yacht and then they’ll get their next clue. All the teams do the task without much difficulty. Laura and Jenny choose to work together. All the other teams work alone and the order of the teams are the same, with Aly and Steve in first. Behind them are Mike and Rochelle, Jelani and Jenny, Laura and Tyler, Hayley and Blair, Jeff and Jackie, and Matt and Ashley.
After the Roadblock, they learn they must go to the Casino of Monte Carlo. They must go to a roulette wheel and it will decide which Detour they will do. Red will be “Don’t Slack Off” and black will be “Win By A Nose.” The teams that landed on red and doing “Don’t Slack Off” are Jelani and Jenny, Jeff and Jackie, and Matt and Ashley. They will have to maneuver their way between cliffs on tightropes very high in the sky. This means Aly and Steve, Mike and Rochelle, Laura and Tyler, and Hayley and Blair will do “Win By A Nose,” which requires the team members to make a perfume and a cologne with the correct ingredients in front of them. Aly and Steve got lost on the way to the Detour and fell way behind the other teams.
The teams are struggling with the “Win By A Nose” Detour. Mike and Rochelle are especially struggling. Jenny and Jelani are the first to complete the “Don’t Slack Off” Detour, and they’re followed by Matt and Ashley and Jeff and Jackie. They can make their way to the next Pit Stop: Plage de Passable. Aly and Steve are the first team to pass the “Win By A Nose” Detour and can now make their way to the Pit Stop too. They are in fourth place, and they’re quickly followed by Laura and Tyler and Hayley and Blair. Mike and Rochelle were the first team to arrive at the Detour, but are now the only team still there and currently in last place. However, they finally pass and can make their way to the Pit Stop too.
All the teams are now making their way to the Pit Stop and we see several of them stopping to ask for directions. Jelani misread directions on a map, and cost him and Jenny some time. However, the other teams are lost too and it is hard to tell which team will check-in at the Pit Stop first. It looks like anything can happen and the order the teams left won’t necessarily be the order they arrive at the Pit Stop. Which team will claim first place for this leg of the race?
It is Hayley and Blair who arrive at the Pit Stop first! Despite being the sixth team to depart for the Pit Stop, they are Team #1 and win a trip to South Africa. Hayley and Blair did not fight today, which they credit for their victory today. While Hayley and Blair are still chatting with Phil at the Pit Stop, Aly and Steve and Mike and Rochelle arrive together as Teams #2 and #3 respectively. Next we see a footrace between the next three teams to the Pit Stop, and it is Matt and Ashley coming in fourth, with Jelani and Jenny as Team #5 and Laura and Tyler as Team #6.
Jeff and Jackie finally arrive at the Pit Stop and are the last team to arrive. They sadly learn they have been eliminated from the race and are very disappointed. They wanted to continue on in the race, but plan to still keep in contact with one another.
