17-year-old singer-songwriter Casey Bishop has just dropped her debut self-titled EP, produced by Chris Greatti (Yungblud, Poppy) via 19 Recordings/BMG.

The six-track EP, according to a press release “infuses punk energy and skyscraping rock ambition infused with alt-pop melodies.”  The EP includes already released tracks “Bad Dream,” “Don’t Talk!” and “Blurry Vision.” alongside 3 more cuts, “Kerosene,” “Denied” and “The Warning.”

Casey co-wrote every song alongside the likes of Willow Smith and fellow American Idol alums Hunter Metts and Francisco Martin

Casey finished fourth on American Idol 2021

Back in 2021, The Fort Myers, Florida singer finished American Idol season 19 in 4th place. Her impressive rock vocals earned her a unanimous “yes” from the season’s judges – Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, and Katy Perry. Since then, she has performed duets with Luke Bryan and Brandon Boyd (Incubus) and opened for the likes of John Fogerty, and Foreigner.

Casey’s musical influences include Mötley Crüe, Fleetwood Mac and Billie Eilish. Shortly after her season of American Idol wrapped, the powerhouse singer signed with 19 Recordings/BMG and began songwriting sessions out in Los Angeles with Greatti.

Recently the singer took part in two Nashville showcases with fellow 19 Recordings/BMG and American Idol alums at the Whisky Riff and Analog at the Hutton Hotel.

At the end of 2021, Casey wrote a message to her fans: “Next year is going to be just as great and i’m SOOO excited for you guys to hear the new music,” Casey wrote enthusiastically. “Working on this upcoming project has been so insanely fun. I discover something new about myself during every song and everyone involved in the music is just so unbelievably talented.”

She continued, “It’s still crazy to me how being at such a low point in my life last year brought me to my happiest and highest self this year. The growth has been fast but beautiful and is ongoing. Thank you guys so much for everything you do, i love you all.”
