Listen to a Lost Kelly Clarkson/Chris Daughtry Duet “One More Yesterday”

In 2011 we blogged about a duet between American Idol singers Kelly Clarkson and Chris Daughtry called “One More Yesterday.” It never made an appearance on album by either artist, but now five years later the song has leaked on to the internets!

At the time, co-writer Richard Marx revealed he’d co-written a song, “One More Yesterday,” with Chris and Jason Wade of Lifehouse that was recorded by Chris and Kelly as a duet. “I’ve heard the rough mix of it,” Marx told ABC News Radio at the time, “and the singing can’t be beat, between the two of them.”

There was speculation that the song was a duet Kelly had teased for her upcoming album with someone that fans had wanted her to sing with, but when the singer’s album, Stronger, was released later that year, there were no new duets included on the record. Daughtry also released a record in 2011, Break the Spell.  A collaboration with Chris recorded in 2008 with Howard Benson never saw the light of day, either.

The song sounds like a Daughtry cut with a guest appearance by Kelly. Check out the song right here.
