American Idol 2022 2nd runner-up Leah Marlene is moving out to Los Angeles to kickstart her post-Idol music career soon. However, she will return to her hometown, Normal, Illinois to play a big show on August 27.

And of course, Leah’s fans guessed correctly. The special guest will be the singer’s Idol bestie, Fritz Hager, who finished the show in the Top 5!

Leah’s homecoming show set for August 27 with Fritz Hager and a TBA guest as openers
After keeping her fans in suspense for a day, Leah announced all the details in another post. The concert will take place on the field at the Corn Crib in Normal Illinois on August 27. Leah excitedly reveals there will be a “huge production” with a video screen and a “full on band.”
Tickets go on sale at 10 am CT on July 1 at LeahMarlene.com. “Be sure to bring the whole family,” Leah advises. “There’s going to be a kids zone, there’s going to be lots of food.” There will also be VIP meet and Greet options available.
Fritz and Leah may perform a few songs together
“I couldn’t be more excited to have my best pal Fritz opening the show,” Leah gushes. “He’s going to be playing an incredible set and might hop on stage for a few songs with me as well!”
Leah promises to announce a SECOND SPECIAL GUEST next week!

Fritz responded with his own post. “SUPER excited to announce that I will be coming to Normal to open for the greatest human in the world @leahmarlenemusic !!! Get your tickets THIS FRIDAY as soon as you can for this INCREDIBLE night of music SATURDAY AUGUST 27th!
Fritz posted the message on social media alongside a cool poster promoting the concert. The Crib, home of THE CORNBELTERS, is located at 1000 W. Raab Road in Normal, Illinois. Google it!

“There will be Leah and Fritz content. Lots of it.”
Leah and Fritz famously performed “Locked out of Heaven” during the Duets round in Hollywood Week, which they wanted to release as a single, but Idol nixed it. The two were clearly pals, who advanced round by round. But Fritz left the competition at the Top 5, while Leah competed in the finale with eventual winner Noah Thompson and runner-up Huntergirl.
In an interview with Hollywood Life shortly after the finale, Leah vowed to collaborate with Fritz in the future. “…we have so many ideas for stuff to do together. Ideally, we really want to put a tour together with us too and that’ll be much more songs written on the road and stuff. You’ll definitely be hearing from the duo of Leah and Fritz…there will be Leah and Fritz content. Lots of it.”
