Lauren Spencer-Smith finally makes her Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon debut. Originally, the American Idol season 18 alum was scheduled to stop by back in June, but sinus and ear infections forced her to cancel the New York leg of her tour.
“Hi. I’m so sorry for this bad news but I have been under the weather fighting my ear and sinus infection, and was hoping i’d be able to get healthy for the shows this week, But I woke up feeling so much worse this morning,” Lauren wrote in an Instagram post.
“…we unfortunately are going to have to postpone the NY and Toronto shows plus Fallon to another date. New rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as we have them!!!!!! We will make sure se do the shows and come back I promise I will see you all soon. I’m so sorry. I love y’all.”
But finally, Lauren made her debut on Monday, August 8 to perform her new single, “Narcissist.”
Lauren also dropped a music video for “Narcissist.” The lyrics go: “They’re always charismatic/And they’ll turn up the charm/Their words do something magic/Saying no is really hard/They’re over generous/You’ll never pay the bills/They’ll fall in love in seconds/Die for you or probably kill/And after six months you’ll feel really stupid/I promise it’s not your fault you fell for it”
In the clip, directed by Jasper Soloff, Lauren plays different characters, like a beauty queen, a goth girl and it girl.
