Kelly Clarkson typically opens her afternoon talk show with a cover tune. But on Monday (Feb 24) the American Idol OG winner and The Voice coach joined forces with Wilson-Phillips for a special rendition of the group’s 1990 hit “Hold On.” The single topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for a week in June 1990 and was the most successful single of that year in the US.

Wilson-Phillips, a trio of singers who are the progeny of pop royalty, consists of Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips. They are the daughters of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys and of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas, respectively.

Check out the performance below. The harmonies are gorgeous! And make sure to catch Kelly on The Voice season 18 premiere on NBC Monday Feb 24 at 8 pm ET/PT.
