Kelly Clarkson spent most of the spring quarantining in Montana with her family. But now she is back in Los Angeles taping summer episodes of her afternoon talk show.
She kicked off Monday’s episode (June 15) showing off her new Los Angeles at-hom set. Kelly’s studio is still off limits due to the Covid-19 lockdown. So her staff fixed up her place with favorite items from the studio.
Noticeably, the American Idol OG winner and The Voice coach is not wearing her wedding ring. She did not mention that she recently split with husband Brandon Blackstock. But I have a feeling that is coming when the time is right.
For those who are not caught up on the news: Last week Kelly filed for divorce from Blackstock, citing irreconcilable differences. She wants to keep the couple’s prenup in place and is petitioning for joint custody of their two children, River Rose and Remington. The couple seemed fine…until they weren’t. The singer’s fans are shocked.
Kind of ironically, Kelly’s “Kellyoke” performance was a beautiful rendition of U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.” Watch the performance below.

Also, Kelly kicked off a Black Lives Matter social media campaign called #StartTheConversation, in which black members of her staff got honest about their struggles with racism. Associate producer, Jasmine admits tearfully that she’s “beyond angry.” Rubin, the show’s audience warm up says that he dreads the day he’ll have to sit down with his son to explain that “people are going to sometimes treat you poorly simply because of the color of your skin.”
