Kelly Clarkson and Vince Gill “Don’t Rush” – First Listen! (UPDATED)

Kelly Clarkson is breaking into the country market. She’s had a couple of duets–a remake of The American Idol winner’s hit “Because of You” sung with pal Reba McEntire and “Don’t You Wanna Stay” with Jason Aldean. Kelly also released a “countrified” version of “Mr. Know it All” to radio.

She’s making some headway in the format–she’s nominated in the Female Artist category for the Country Music Awards, taking place on Thursday.

Her latest country turn comes from her upcoming greatest hits album, Greatest Hits Chapter One.  She’s front and center on the new  tune called “Don’t Rush”, with an assist from Vince Gill.

Will it make headway on country radio? We’ll see. I will admit–it’s not my thing at all. A little too adult contemporary for my tastes. I’ll stick to Pop Kelly, thankuverymuch.

The song debuted on 98 WSIX today. Listen to a stream!
