X Factor Live Show Debut Moves to Wed. October 31

Welp. The World Series ended in a 4 game San Francisco sweep. That means FOX is faced with having to fill several days with repeats…or…rejigger the schedule.

Instead of beginning the live shows on Thursday November 1 as originally planned, live performance3s will kick off on Wednesday Oct 31, with the Top 12 reveal scheduled for Thursday November 1.

If the series had stretched to 7 games,  the Nov 1 show would have been cancelled and the X Factor would have aired a mega show on Sunday night. UGH. Finally, something goes right for poor Simon Cowell!

Following the conclusion of the 2012 World Series, THE X FACTOR’s Top 16 acts will perform live for the first time on a special two-hour-and-seven-minute show Wednesday, Oct. 31 (8:00-10:07 PM live/ PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Hosts Khloé Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez will take THE X FACTOR stage alongside judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Britney Spears and L.A. Reid. Then, on Thursday, Nov. 1 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), the Top Finalists will be revealed, and return the following week to face America’s vote.

And don’t miss a special encore of THE X FACTOR tonight (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), featuring the conclusion of the “Judges’ Homes” round and the announcement of the Top 16 finalists.
