  1. I think Kat is making exactly the right kind of music for her voice and style. I love it, and will look for this CD.

  2. Didn’t pull me in, sorry. Didn’t get through the song. It wasn’t god-awful or anything, just didn’t hook me. I do think overall this effort will be a better fit for her voice.

  3. Solid performance but I really hate how Kat doesn’t have live backup singers. She sounds good but still looks a little uncomfortable until the end of the song. I would have made It’s Not Right or How the lead single over Had It All. I wish Kat the best, she’s put together a good, sophisticated album that shows a lot of artistic growth and some pretty good songs.

  4. Great, Great performance. I absolutely loved it. It’s Not Right is one of my favorite songs on the CD and she blew it out the box last night! I would be very happy with it being the next single! Hopefully this was a sign that Verve is testing it!

She really has grown as an artist and performer and last night it really showed in this performance. Bravo Kat, Bravo!!

  5. This is not one of my favorite songs off her album but given the discs track order ( It’s Not Right is numero uno! ) I kind of figured that it would be a song that would be pushed at some point. I like Had It All (and Terrified, and Lifetime, and Faultline and you’re getting the point…) better, to be honest. Katharine sings these sad songs well but I’m not sure that is going to be what is most marketable off her album.

  6. WOW..kudos to Kat she sang It’s Not Right with so much intensity and emotion. Love this song among a few others off her Unbroken CD.

Fans and also viewers watching the San Diego Charges vs New York playoff game will have an opportunity to see Kat sing the National Anthem. She will also perform at the pre-game Bud Light Tailgate event.

  7. I actually kinda like the song, and can see it as a viable top 40 entry were her label to give it the right push.

The problem is I still think her producers/handlers are still miles off from finding the sweet spot for her voice– Kat is a great singer but personally I don’t think you would know it from this song. And they do her NO favors having her lip sync on Kimmel. I mean she’s proven herself to be able to get up and sing live on TV in front of millions so why have her lip syncing here? And the crush of the non-existent back-up singers only makes the lip syncing look altogether silly!

I fear for Kat…. I’ve always been a big fan but I think unless something radical gets through to her very quickly regarding her presentation, presence, look, and choice of material, that she will run out of chances. It’s a shrill reminder of how many different things have to fall in place to wind up being a successful recording artist.
