It all came down to this as four celebrity and pro-dancer couples returned to the ballroom to compete for the last time on the 2020 season finale of Dancing with the Stars, last night (Nov 23) on ABC. Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and her partner Artem Chigvintsev were crowned season 29 Champions of DWTS taking home the coveted Mirrorball Trophy.
For this last week of the competition, each couple repeated one of their favorite performances from earlier in the season with some new creative elements. Then, for the last portion of the competition, the couples performed the most anticipated dance of the season—the fan-favorite Freestyle.
On Tuesday morning, Kaitlyn and Artem appeared on the traditional Good Morning America Dancing with the Stars dance party, along with runner-ups Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson, third place finishers, Nelly and Daniella Karagach and fourth placers, Justina Machado and Sasha Farber.
In the first segment, Kaitlyn’s eyes opened wide when Michael Strahan teased her with a possible proposal from her boyfriend, Jason Tartick. PSYCH! By the way, Kaitlyn is the second former Bachelorette in a row to win DWTS, as last year’s Bachelorette, Hannah Brown and her partner Alan Bersten took home the trophy in 2019.
