Jessica Meuse Reacts to the American Idol Judges: Maybe I Should Just be a Stripper or Pole Dancer

American Idol 13 finalist, Jessica Meuse, was in the bottom 2 last night. She narrowly escaped elimination, as her fellow bottom-dweller, and alabamian, Dexter Roberts was the person sent home.

The contestants were encouraged to tweet throughout the show last night. Before she was declared safe, and after, Jessica posted a series of very candid tweets in response to her fans (and anti-fans!)

Before she landed in the bottom 2, she responded to an Idol fan who felt she’d be eliminated, referring to the advice Harry Connick Jr. gave her Wednesday night about dancing in front of a mirror to practice being comfortable working the stage:

After she was declared safe, her reaction was short and sweet:

Jessica react to an Idol fan who thinks she needs more sex appeal:

A fan, who eventually deleted her tweet, gave Jessica a hard time about her “attitude.” Eh. It’s stressful being on the chopping block. I cut anyone slack who is in that position. It’s also much better TV when a contestant reacts with emotion, no matter what it is.

Whoa. Jess has noticed the double standard in how she’s being evaluated by the judges. I noted, in my recap last night, the absurdity of the judges advising her to move on stage and practice “dancing” in her room when she’s not that kind of artist.

She’s ready for a post-Idol career.

And finally–it’s time to relax with the BFF.
