Idol Takes Back The Ratings Crown From the Winter Olympics

via Hollywood Reporter and Mediaweek:

Fox won the night last night with a two-hour “American Idol” (24 million, 8.9). The numbers stayed about on par with last week: 23.64 million viewers and a 9.1 rating/22 share

The Vancouver Winter Olympics averaged 21.21 million viewers and a 5.4/14 among adults 18-49 from 8-11 p.m.

So the girls figure skating didn’t cream American Idol after all.  The best stuff was probably saved for last, so the peeps who switched over to NBC from FOX didn’t miss much…
